Artist Statement

I am a multi-disciplinary digital artist with a focus on character design. My passions lie in animation, illustration, and comic art, where I emphasize character-driven narratives. I employ cartoonish aesthetics to make themes of self-discovery and visibility accessible to audiences of all ages. I often draw from my own experiences of living with OCD and trichotillomania when creating characters. I am dedicated to bringing nuanced, de-stigmatized depictions of mental health to the big screen in feature film and television formats. I also aim to introduce the concept of spectrality to young consumers of mass media and empower the LGBTQIA+ community.

Additionally, I insert storytelling into my graphic design practice. By day, I am a social media manager for creative and volunteering companies. With proficiency in Canva and CapCut, my content centers around advancing missions of community-building, professional empowerment, and supporting fellow creatives. My designs contain a strong emphasis on audience recognition and engagement through motion.

As a freelance artist, I assist fellow creators in bringing their ideas to life. My versatility and growth mindset lead me to explore new genres, mediums, and artistic styles in both personal and professional ventures.
