Editorial Intern for Southeast Review
As an Editorial Intern for Florida State University's nationally renowned literary magazine Southeast Review, I spearheaded three social media channels and created content for the company's monthly newsletter Writer's Regimen.
Graphic Design
Inspiration
To attract the literary community to Southeast Review's content, our social media team chose to emulate scrapbook layouts and collage aethetics in our designs.
Process
Each week, my social media team would brainstorm a theme for our Pinterest graphics to follow. From the theme, we would determine literary works to quote for our Mood Board Monday post. Then, we would determine a Southeast Review contributor to highlight in our Feature Wednesday post. Finally, we would create a writing prompt to share with our audience for our Free Write Friday post.
Challenges
Every member of my social media team was a full-time student, creating scheduling conflicts for collecting and shooting content. To maintain organization within and between social media teams, I developed a streamlined tracking and approval system for content across the company's eight social media platforms.

Social Media Management
Organization
To maintain a consistent identity and reach across the company's eight social media platforms, I developed a spreadsheet for unified access to and approval of graphic and video content. This system allowed for all social media content to be instantly accessible by my Supervisor, optimizing the approval and scheduling processes across social media teams.
Content
To establish the company's Pinterest account, my social media team focused on providing writing inspiration through tri-weekly graphic content. We also utilized a tri-weekly posting schedule for trending video content on TikTok and YouTube. We tailored trending video formats and audio to highlight the processes and lifestyle of our target audience: Writers.
Identity
The goal of Southeast Review's Pinterest was to attract followers to the magazine and newsletter service Writer's Regimen with craft and aesthetics-based graphics. The goal of Southeast Review's TikTok and YouTube accounts was to keep the company in the public psyche with trending topics and videos.

Inspiration
With the guidance of my social media team members, we chose to parody trending audio and video formats from BookTok channels to connect with our target audience.
Process
To adhere to our tri-weekly posting schedule, my social media team would film and edit two trending audio videos for Mondays and Wednesdays. We would collect our graphic content from Pinterest into a slideshow on Fridays.
Challenges
To appropriately follow trending video layouts, I learned how to use TikTok to create and share videos to YouTube. While exploring this software, I advanced my videography skills.
