FSU: English Department Program Intern
As a Program Intern for the FSU: English Department, my duties include research for publication writing, drafting and creating social media content, and mentoring student interns.

Graphic Design
Inspiration
When redesigning the FSU: English Department news series graphics, I draw from title, photo, and text layouts from national news sites, such as The New York Times. These elements, along with the FSU color palette, establish the department's social media content as journalism-based.
Process
Working with student interns, I designate each of the five departmental series graphics with FSU colors and page orientations. I then edit the designs for brand consistency after receiving feedback from my supervisor.
Challenges
Per university policy, student interns for the FSU: English Department are not permitted to work directly on the department Instagram. This drawback necessitates timely completion of content to maintain consistent posting schedules.

Social Media Management
Organization
As an indirect manager for the FSU: English Department Instagram, I emphasize consistency and content variety to my supervisor.
Content
I am developing a new series to advertise the release of student articles. These promotional posts aim to engage student audiences with their peers' work through photos, text variety, and color variety. I am also increasing the frequency of video content to increase audience retention on social media.
Identity
The FSU: English Department is a champion of their students, alumni, faculty, and staff. By organizing consistent content for the department's Instagram, I aim to expand the reach of its associates' work to the FSU community.

Video-Editing
Inspiration
I draw from trending Instagram videos to increase the comprehension of informational interviews with FSU: English Department students, faculty, and staff.
Process
After filming interviews conducted by student interns, I section the video into a series of 1-2 minute Instagram Reels that expand upon each other. These serve as promotions for student articles and campus resources, events, and awards.
Challenges
To appropriately follow trending video layouts, I learned how to use CapCut to create engaging content. While exploring this editing software, I advanced my trimming, text overlaying, and sound mixing skills.
